The Launch of Paradise Island Dreaming
I love to travel and have fun with my family. In the last few years we have skiied Lake Tahoe, explored the Everglades, gotten our kicks on Route 66, panned for gold where it was discovered in Northern California and many other fun adventures. One of our favorite family vacations was last September, when we traveled to Paradise Island in the Bahamas and stayed for a week at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort. Atlantis had something for everyone in our group, which was me and my husband, our four boys, my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, and her boyfriend.
During our time at Atlantis, we hit all the waterslides at Aquaventure, swam with dolphins, fed stingrays, snorkeled with sharks, and just had a blast. It was the vacation of a lifetime, made even better because I was able to trade into the Harborside resort timeshares and didn’t have an out of pocket expense for lodging. At the time, I was not sure that I would be able to trade into Harborside again, but recently I had a good bit of luck and was able to book several timeshare condos for September 2013.
I love to research before I travel and found it hard to find lots of good information about the Atlantis resort, Paradise Island and Bahamas travel before we went last time. My aim with this blog is to put my research skills to work to prepare for my next trip and to share with anyone planning or even considering planning a trip to Paradise Island. I will cover everything from accomodation options to ways to save some money at the resort. An Atlantis trip will never be an inexpensive undertaking, but as a mom to a larger family, I like to make every dollar count!
